5 DAYS, 5 WAYS: INJECT A NEW SLANT TO YOUR STYLE ALL WEEK LONG!

It’s no surprise that I absolutely love the asymmetrical skirt trend there is something to be said about slants, uneven hemlines, and unexpected lines. It could either be your best friend or foe! If you’re like me I’m always up for a good challenge, a style challenge that is! The more complicated or unique something is the more determined I am in making it work. What if… I gave you a challenge of wearing not just an asymmetrical skirt, but wearing one all week long! Yes, I know it can be quite conundrum to wear something all week long, but lucky for you I have provided five ways for five days to rock this frock in panache!  Read on to be ahead of the curve, the curve of the hem that is!

MONDAY

Start the workweek off right in an office appropriate white blouse tucked into a black asymmetrical skirt. When sporting a black and white monochromatic look add a bit of punch to your look through the accessories and shoes. Whether you opt to add an eye-catching belt or throw in a unique style shoe , go for more shapes and designs versus color when wearing combinations of black and white to the office.

TUESDAY

So you’re past Monday, and what better way to get into cheery spirits  for Tuesday than sporting some color! Take a style note from this model that wears the lovely color radiant orchard , which is the color for 2014 in women’s fashion. Depending on the color and design you choose for the skirt will dictate the top. Please keep in mind styling options will always vary due to work climates or occupations. Refer to the color wheel when finding separates that are not neutrals to ensure a more balanced look.

WEDNESDAY

Hello hump day!  It’s time to get your creative juices flowing at work or on the playground with the kiddies by playing with prints. Whether you opt with a black and white print such as I did, or go with a more bold print like the “abstract trend” remember with any prints or particularly bold pieces it’s all about building your look around the centerpiece . My centerpiece was my asymmetrical black and white print skirt,  whereas my accent pieces was my bold red long sleeve top and my tribal gold earrings. The tribal earrings complimented the tribal themed print of the skirt ,whereas the color red created a nice yet striking contrast with the skirt.  My pop piece was my heels because the unique design emphasized the details in the print. (Refer back to my article on Minute Made Fashion if you want find out more about my style technique to creating instant stylish oufits)

THURSDAY

Goodbye Hump day, and hello happy hour! Before you know five thirty will roll around, and the whole office will be heading straight to  it’s neighborhood hangout, or better yet you have a meet and greet and need to “dress to impress”! What better way than to wear a red-hot asymmetrical dress to set the night on fire! Add a belt to break up the dress and create the skirt portion, while throwing in a strappy heel suitable for nighttime.   For a covered up look at work throw on a blazer, and wear flats.

FRIDAY

TGIF! Yeah that's right! End the week right by focusing  on a key color that is trending for fall. Of course what better color to end the week with than one of my all time favorites, royal blue! Pair appropriately by going more with neutral color items like black to create more versatility from night to day. A style tip to keep in mind is to choose tops that have unique necklines, because it will create more dimension on top that will balance the bottom portion of the skirt. To make this ensemble more appropriate for work pair with  a blazer and solid color heels. To take this look to date night style, ditch the blazer and swap out the plain heel  for a star studded heel like I did!
